I took a step back last Sunday
and went on my 125cc machine to get my confidence up to my normal
level. Today I rode at Sittingbourne on my 250 against Adam Portwood
and was progressing as the day went on and hopefully I am improving
each week.
Best wishes.

I was riding at Rye
House on Saturday the 21st where I had four second half rides on my own
getting use to the track and I did really well but had to stop in my
fourth ride because my wrist started aching. Also, George & Linda
Barclay introduced me to Mrs Peter Craven which was great.
All the best

Just an update; I
was on the gate at Arena Last night with Ronnie and Henning and was
overjoyed at the support and well wishes from the supporters and I look
forward to performing in front of them again, it was also great of
Mikeal Max to take me round on the parade lap before the meeting. I
would like to say as well that I will not be attending Arena Essex vs
Eastbourne on the 22nd September due to a prior commitment, I will be at
the Polish Grand Prix, but I will be back for our last meeting against
Oxford on the 29th September.

Rhys returned home
last night after his operation to pin his broken wrist was carried out.
The wrist is still painful but all things being equal Rhys will be at
Arena next Wednesday for the clash with Belle Vue (minus his bike of
course). The plaster needs to remain on for approximately six weeks at
which time he may then need another cast put on. We will keep you
updated here with his progress. |

Rhys fell during
his mascot duties this evening before the meeting with Peterborough. It is ironic
that Arena have suffered so many injuries this year and now even their
official mascot is on the sidelines with a broken wrist. Rhys was taken
to Basildon hospital for treatment after the accident on the second bend and will have an
operation on Saturday to
repair the growth plate bone in his wrist (by being pinned). We all wish him well for a
speedy recovery. |

Intro
My Name Rhys Naylor
- I first started riding a Speedway bike at the beginning of December
2005 at Sittingbourne on a 125cc Honda in a Jawa Frame (not Lay down). I
am an Arena Essex fan and after trying Speedway out found it really
exciting and decided that I wanted to be part of a Team. I phoned Ronnie
Russell myself and asked to be Mascot for the Hammers. I have continued
my learning on the Sittingbourne track and have also visited Scunthorpe.
I now have a Jawa 250 which I found a little bit different from my tame
125, I tried it out at Eastbourne in June and ended up a little bit
worse for wear.
